I'm new to this community...simply put, I'm trying to find ways to get engaged with what's happening in the Visual Arts in this area that is not based in some academic environment or venue.

Tentative efforts include memberships in the San Diego Art Institute and the San Diego Art Department. I'm looking for other non-profits that share my desire to see the young overcome the old, both in exposure and meaning.
